AN ORGANIZATION TO OFFER
SCHOLARSHIPS TO BARTENDERS |

|
|
THE AWARD WINNERS
|
 |
| On June 18th, 2001, at
the Bartender
Appreciation Day, in N.Y.C., the Bartenders' Foundation awarded its first scholarship.
This lucky
bartender, or one of their children, will receive a $5,000
scholarship, with payments to be made over the next four years. |
2001 Award:
While most high school seniors wouldn't miss an issue of Cosmo
or Maxim, April Hays of Chester, N.J. sings the praise of
a trade publication, Bartender Magazine. April, who's mother Joanne has been a bartender at the Old Mill Tavern
in Chester for over 16 years, recently became the first
recipient of the magazine's Bartender Foundation scholarship to
help fund her education for the next four years at New York
University.
|
2002-2003 Award:
We will continue to sponsor our 2001 Award Winner, April Hays,
as she continues her education.
Please donate so we can afford to award
another bartender or one of their children.
We will be announce all winners here in the future.
Check back for additional information.
|
| Bartender Magazine had intended to present each
award at the BARTENDER's yearly Bartender Appreciation
Day, where the liquor industry is given the perfect
opportunity to say a loud and hearty 'thank you' to their best
customers, you, the Bartender!
